What's the Name of That Chick With the Long Hair?

I was going to use that title when my post was going to focus on mainly just the season premiere of Lost but so much more has happened to me recently. Anyway, after seeing that season premiere the other day, I have scenes from the Star Trek episode "Shore Leave" in my head but I'm sure there is another explanation for what was found in the hatch. We'll have to see, of course.

I also saw the series premiere of Invasion which bares quite the resemblance to a novel of the same name by Robin Cook but the details are so different that I don't believe it's actually based on the that book. It's not too bad so I'll probably watch it more. Oh, and just so you know, caring optional, I didn't see Surface because it looked way too lame. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

In other news, Wednesday, I was contacted by a woman, who turned out to be really hot btw, from an employment agency representing a payroll company. They saw my resume posted online. Today, I went to their office downtown to fill out the paperwork, watch a video on work safety and take some computerized tests on data entry, Excel and Word. She'll give the information to this company, which is also downtown, and they may or may not call me for an interview. It's 20 hours a week. Apparently, I get to choose which three, full, days I want to come in. Not too bad. The annoying part is I have to submit my time card info myself during the probationary period. The last time I went through an employment agency, the company did it for me...

With the discovery of the time-waster that is Facebook, I find I no longer need to waste my time here. This is mainly why I haven't done any quizzes or other memes here in a cat's age. The Big E and Other Commentary

Last night, we went to the Big E up in West Springfield. It was apparently Connecticut Day so the parade was all CT all the time. It was the longest parade I have ever watched. It went on like forever. We got a baked potato at the Maine Building and a Spiced Apple Cider Donut at the Vermont building as well as sharp cheese called "The Preacher." I wanted to get "The Green Mountain Boys" which was supposedly XX-sharp but my father wouldn't go for it. We then went to the Sam Adams Beer Garden where I ordered an Octoberfest. Mine was 20 ounces so it looked huge compared to the little cups of chardonnay my parents ordered. We then went over to get the special Big E cream puff. Has anyone heard Clay Aiken's new song? He's covering Badfinger's "Without You" of all things and, I really hate say this, it's pretty good... We're having another Movie Night a week from tomorrow. Rant and Update

First off, I must ask: Where the bloody hell is my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows ? I ordered the thing five days ago! I'm going to start reading spoilers soon! I really want to read this book! Anyway, so I'm still volunteering at the library. We're in the middle of an inventory now. I've also looked in the catalog, one, to see if we had certain new books already and, two, if we did, to see which branch. This week, I've been assigning call numbers to new books. I haven't done that at all since school and that was Library of Congress (LC) classification anyway while here they use Dewey and Cutter numbers. Tomorrow, I won't be going in as the librarian is out today and tomorrow and I did all the work she left for me already.
