I Stole This Because It Looked Like Fun.

Musical Magic 8 Ball
Go to your music player of choice and put it on shuffle.
Say the following questions aloud, and press play.
Use the song title as the answer to the question.

NO CHEATING.

1. How does the world see me?

"Much Too Late For Goodbyes"-Julian Lennon. Ok, that's just mean...

2. Will I have a happy life?

"If You're Gone"- Matchbox 20. So it's conditional...

3. What do my friends really think of me?

"Play Guitar"- John Mellencamp. So my friends want me to "forgot about that macho shit and learn how to play guitar."

4. Do people secretly lust after me?

"Rhapsody"- Alejandro Escoveda. Um, then no?

5. How can I make myself happy?

"Tempted"-Squeeze. I think that means to have an affair. Ok...

6. What should I do with my life?

"Wish You Were Here"- Pink Floyd. So I should pine after someone?

7. Will I ever have children?

"Peaceful Easy Feeling"- The Eagles. Does that mean I need to have sex with some woman with sparkly earrings in the desert if I want children? Or does it mean to just forget about it?

8. What is some good advice for me?

"Truly Madly Deeply"- Savage Garden. Climb a mountain and take a bath with a woman? Weird but easily done.

9. How will I be remembered?

"Maybe I'm Amazed."- Heart with Cyndi Lauper. I'm touched, maybe...

10. What is my signature dancing song?

"Dancing Days"- Led Zepplin. Probably true...

11. What do I think my current theme song is?

"As Tears Go By"- The Rolling Stones. Still? Wow...

12. What does everyone else think my current theme song is?

"Crimson and Clover"- Joan Jett. So I rock but can be monotonous. That is probably also true...

13. What song will play at my funeral?

"Cheers Theme. (Full Version)" An Irish Wake perhaps? I would hope everyone at my funeral knew my name...

14. What type of men/women do you like?

"She's Not There"- The Zombies. Apparently I want a woman who I can never find.

15. What is my day going to be like?

"Once More Around the Block"- Badly Drawn Boy. So a day of same old, same old then?

Random Comments Into My Life

We did yardwork yesterday. I picked up a lot of sticks. Home Depot sucks on a Friday morning. My father and I went to get a new gascan for the mower and there was only one employee around to help us...and she didn't know anything about how these new fangled gas cans work... So due to a bank error when I reset my bank account so I could accurately keep track again, I had like a hundred dollars less in my account than I thought so my last bill payment put me in the hole. This would've been all right and easily fixed if I had been paid for the last week of my mailroom job but, oddly, I still have not been even though it's been weeks. I don't know if I can accurately convey how infuriated this makes me. If it doesn't happen soon, heads will roll! Also yesterday I re-watched the Enterprise episode "Regeneration"; this time with audio commentary from the writers. They made some valid points I hadn't considered on the issue of if this episode screws with...

The Neglected Blog

With the discovery of the time-waster that is Facebook, I find I no longer need to waste my time here. This is mainly why I haven't done any quizzes or other memes here in a cat's age. (I'm not a dog person...) They're all over there. Also why tell you all about what's not going on in my life when I can better waste time by making fake money off Lindsay Lohan's hi-jinks? Added to that, you can regularly follow the mundaness that is my life on Twitter. I don't want to say I'll never blog again. Frankly, this site and I have chronicled much over the years and I'm not ready to give it up fully. Every so often, something comes up worth sharing. Case in point, Thursday night, there was a retirement celebration for our outgoing OT professor complete with a guest lecturer from Boston, dinner and a vesper service designed by the professor herself. It was good Thai food, though admittedly not my favorite Asian cuisine, and saw many people I knew. My parents c...

And Now, A Lame Quiz!

Your Score : Dionysus 33% Extroversion, 46% Intuition, 55% Emotiveness, 76% Perceptiveness Although deeply emotional, you are extremely lacking in self-knowledge. You are somewhat needy, and when bored, may become very hedonistic. Your life is a quest for meaning, above all else. You are most like Dionysus. You are primarily interested in serving others, but your efforts are almost always unappreciated. You aren't confrontational, you're often out of tune with your own needs and unaware of the consequences of your own actions. You are, at heart, a good person. You are very affectionate, and you are very loyal to your friends and family. You are very reluctant to burden others with your own problems, to the point that this in itself can become a problem for the people who care about you. This is a particular of a more general problem. Dionysus sends wave of ruin throughout his personal life. He is the photographer who seduces his subjects. He is the teacher who seduces a student...
