I'm Sure There's A Title For This.

Saturday, my aunt, my cousin and I went to see Shrek the Third. A good time was had by all. I worried they were going to go to the well too often with this one (The fifth one, maybe.) but was pleasantly surprised. I was also pleasantly surprised by Justin Timberlake as Artie. The cast as a whole was awesome. Adding Eric Idle (Merlin), Amy Poehler (Snow White) and Cheri Oteri (Sleeping Beauty with narcolepsy) among others to a already all-star cast was better than great. The dance number at the end was not as fun as in the past but, really, what can you do? I unequivocally recommend this movie to you and your whole family.

Yesterday, was my church's annual meeting and potluck lunch. I'm not an official member yet so I couldn't vote but it was interesting to watch and, well, they feed you.

In other news, after many months of crap, I may actually finally have a temp position and, drum roll please, I actually can get there by bus! I'll let you all know how it goes. I have to go in tomorrow morning to touch base with my agency as apparently, because they couldn't find me work these past few months, they have to re-activate me. WTBH?

With the discovery of the time-waster that is Facebook, I find I no longer need to waste my time here. This is mainly why I haven't done any quizzes or other memes here in a cat's age. The Big E and Other Commentary

Last night, we went to the Big E up in West Springfield. It was apparently Connecticut Day so the parade was all CT all the time. It was the longest parade I have ever watched. It went on like forever. We got a baked potato at the Maine Building and a Spiced Apple Cider Donut at the Vermont building as well as sharp cheese called "The Preacher." I wanted to get "The Green Mountain Boys" which was supposedly XX-sharp but my father wouldn't go for it. We then went to the Sam Adams Beer Garden where I ordered an Octoberfest. Mine was 20 ounces so it looked huge compared to the little cups of chardonnay my parents ordered. We then went over to get the special Big E cream puff. Has anyone heard Clay Aiken's new song? He's covering Badfinger's "Without You" of all things and, I really hate say this, it's pretty good... We're having another Movie Night a week from tomorrow. We've decided today that we're going to watch Akeela...

Rant and Update

First off, I must ask: Where the bloody hell is my copy of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hollows ? I ordered the thing five days ago! I'm going to start reading spoilers soon! I really want to read this book! Anyway, so I'm still volunteering at the library. We're in the middle of an inventory now. I've also looked in the catalog, one, to see if we had certain new books already and, two, if we did, to see which branch. This week, I've been assigning call numbers to new books. I haven't done that at all since school and that was Library of Congress (LC) classification anyway while here they use Dewey and Cutter numbers. Tomorrow, I won't be going in as the librarian is out today and tomorrow and I did all the work she left for me already.
