Part Two.

When we last left our heroes yesterday they had just gone to a concert at a casino in CT. And now, the continuation!

The next morning, Thursday, I went to the dentist for a routine cleaning. I was lucky enough to have the associate dentist herself instead of a hygenist. My regular readers know why I say "lucky." Yes, she's very cute. I think I had the most fun conversation at the dentist that day than I've ever had in my life; at the dentist... I had mentioned I had moved to Maine and was down for a concert. "Poison?" she asked. "No, that was a few days ago. You don't look like a '80's metal fan..." When I told her I had gone to see Bob Dylan she didn't seem that surprised. I don't know what that means...She told me her boyfriend loves Poison and goes every year. She added that he "thankfully" doesn't make her go...

That night, I think, we watched the movie Illusion which starred Kirk Douglas as a film director on his death bead. The film had him shown through an old fashioned movie theater his son's life as he was too busy with his career to be much of a father figure. It was very strange in places but overall I think it was a good film. It had cameos by Kevin Weisman (Alias), who also produced, and Ted Raimi (Spider-man 2 and 3 and Xena). I think this is the first movie or TV show that I've seen him in that had no aparent connection to his brother, Sam.

After it was decided I'd stay until Monday, then Tuesday, I was able to in on the "goodbye dinner action" for my parents. Sunday night we ate dinner at The Mill on the River. I had brunch there a couple of times when we had gift certificates but this was my first dinner. Nice although I think their brunch is better...

Monday, we were taken to lunch at Shady Glen, a diner famous for their cheeseburgers. These kind of remind me of the hats they wore in The Flying Nun. One or two of you may know this about me but I love crispy burnt cheese...

After lunch, Mother and I went to close my checking account. The best part of that, other than when this little boy named Josh asked me what my name was, was when the bank employee asked me why I was closing it. I told her I had moved to Maine and she replied, "Oh, that is inconvenient..." She knew my bank didn't have a branch anywhere in the state. Even if I could, I'm not driving to Portsmouth, NH just to use an ATM...

I'll conclude this saga later but I will leave you with this:

My Harry Potter Spoiler of Doom is:

Random Comments Into My Life

We did yardwork yesterday. I picked up a lot of sticks. Home Depot sucks on a Friday morning. My father and I went to get a new gascan for the mower and there was only one employee around to help us...and she didn't know anything about how these new fangled gas cans work... So due to a bank error when I reset my bank account so I could accurately keep track again, I had like a hundred dollars less in my account than I thought so my last bill payment put me in the hole. This would've been all right and easily fixed if I had been paid for the last week of my mailroom job but, oddly, I still have not been even though it's been weeks. I don't know if I can accurately convey how infuriated this makes me. If it doesn't happen soon, heads will roll! Also yesterday I re-watched the Enterprise episode "Regeneration"; this time with audio commentary from the writers. They made some valid points I hadn't considered on the issue of if this episode screws with...

Remind Me

Remind me to complain how boring and unexciting my life more often because as soon as I did, it got really exciting really fast. Last night, we had four visitors arrive from Korea. They like ziti and garlic bread. Go figure. They will be staying until Sunday night. I told my mother (AKA Hyacinth Bucket) she was making way too much salad but did she listen? No. Now we have this huge-ass bowl of salad in the fridge...What's really irritating is first the fork we use to serve catfood went missing now Susie's dish is missing as well... Tomorrow, I have a physical to prepare for my surgery then I go to my orthopedist's to fill out consent forms. Woo Hoo! I hope I can find time for a haircut as well because... Friday, I have a job interview at a library in Massachusetts! It's a reference job but I also will be conducting a book group. I've never done that but it sounds really fun. Sure, I'll be stuck reading many book that sucks but isn't that what book group i...

And Now, A Lame Quiz!

Your Score : Dionysus 33% Extroversion, 46% Intuition, 55% Emotiveness, 76% Perceptiveness Although deeply emotional, you are extremely lacking in self-knowledge. You are somewhat needy, and when bored, may become very hedonistic. Your life is a quest for meaning, above all else. You are most like Dionysus. You are primarily interested in serving others, but your efforts are almost always unappreciated. You aren't confrontational, you're often out of tune with your own needs and unaware of the consequences of your own actions. You are, at heart, a good person. You are very affectionate, and you are very loyal to your friends and family. You are very reluctant to burden others with your own problems, to the point that this in itself can become a problem for the people who care about you. This is a particular of a more general problem. Dionysus sends wave of ruin throughout his personal life. He is the photographer who seduces his subjects. He is the teacher who seduces a student...
